The commitment to safeguarding the environment is reflected in the regularly organized treemendous tree planting days to maintain and expand the tree population of the area.

This community has come a long way since its humble beginnings in the late 1890?s when the first settlers, attracted by the beauty of the land and bountiful fruit trees, decided to made, the open deer fields, their home. Officially became a city in 1925 with 1300 residents.
