The original residents of this town are just 843. This area is a predominantly White area with more than 93% of the population belonging to the White Hispanic race. The male and female distribution is ideal here with 100 males for every 100 females. You cannot find a better distribution anywhere in the world. The per capita income of the town is around $ 11,955 thereby classifying it as a middle class town.
This place has the highest percentage of Cuban residents in the US. You find a lot of people from South America in this place. The Nicaraguans, Peruvians, Hondurans, etc make up for the rest of the population.
There is not much scope for residential real estate because the majority of the buildings are industrial buildings. The town population definitely cannot afford the high rates that the real estate builders charge.
However, of late, this town is witnessing real estate development with many middle class families being able to afford the nominal houses.
