Key Biscayne is a place where you might find the movie star you saw in a film last week next to you in the local market squeezing the fruits. People come to Key Biscayne because of the respect that people have for each other, the way people are left alone to live their lives in this small spot of paradise. Although Key Biscayne is not action-packed in the South Beach/Coconut Grove definition of the word, it is an unequaled place to do everything from golfing to tennis to fishing to diving. Bike through the tropical wilds of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation Area, skate around Crandon Gardens, take your toddler to play in the tot lot, toss a frisbee around the Village Green, sail, swim, sunbathe and, of course, shop and enjoy the island's varied restaurants.
Just Southeast of Miami, Key Biscayne is connected to Miami via the Rickenbacker Causeway. This is a wonderful little community, one of South Florida's best-kept secrets. |
